Tek-Know presents 3 Channels @ Touch 8-1-2007

Amazing night. Threw a BBQ for Gregore and Voitek once they got into town. Great food and awsome guys to hang out with.

Once we got the club rolling thing really started rocking from the start. Personally played it a little harder to open the club to set the mode for the rest of the madness to follow. Truck Stop Tourist killed it with another superb performance of blockrocking tappin techno beats that got the frenzy really going. Once 3 Channels started their set the place exploded like I havent seen probably ever. People dancing eveywhere, bodies shaking butt pumping action.

Afterhours at the loft for about 30kept the vibe flowing with more non-stop techno action. Spectacular night!

Rest of the fest

Because I'm too lazy at this point to finish the point by point we will be quick to summarize the rest of the fest.

Sat night me Maryellen and Jayson hit up the Spectral Sounds "Detroit Ain't Nothing to Fear" party with Claude VonStroke, Audio (Live), and Ryan Elliot (and some dude TNT, never heard, never saw). By far for me the best show of the weekend. They really threw it down rave style on the 5th floor of the Masonic Temple. Claude VonStroke destroyed the room utterly, best set for the festival as well IMO. Audio rocked as well, with his well groomed rock star style fully immersed in his "Audion" persona.

The best of the rest of the festival was Dirk Diggler, Zip, Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtis, Steve Bug, and Losoul.

On Sunday night we hit up the M_nus show, nothing to not be expected although I thought the environment seemed a little un-M_nus like but it was a dope show. Awesome to hear Ambivalent drop R U OK live.

To cash out the weekend most my good friends all met up at this VFW called the Old Miami for what turned out to be the highlight of the weekend, "Secret Breakfast Beats" As I call it. Ryan Crosson, Seth Troxler, Lee Curtis, Butane, Ryan Elliot, Matthew Dear, Magda, and Troy Pierce all throwing down on the back patio in the wonderful early day sun. By 4pm when that wrapped up I was spent for the weekend, more then happy with everything. Best Detroit experience ever! Bring on DEMF 08!

Sat Festival Part 2

More Shanigins ensued. Place got pretty crowded for a Sat, attendance numbers got to look good this year. Breakers, shakers and music makers as far as the eye can see. Kids, parents, candy kids, hobos and everyone else you could imagine was there in force. Music was off the hook all day long, didnt hear a single beat I wasent feeling. God I live DEMF!

Sat Ferstival part 1

Started off our techno wonderland adventure to the minimal techouse stylings of Butane. Murdered it in the Beatport tent. Due to the lineup and the setup it quickly became apparent that this was going to be the place to be all weekend. Sound system was BOOMIN, you could probably hear it across the lake in Canada! Little did I know this would be far from the last time I saw Butane on this long long journey through techno bliss.

Sat Livesets.com meet up

Little Livesets meet up at Pizza Papalis in greektown. AWESOME freaking pizza,
ended up chewing on pieces all weekend long from one large. Couldn't even finish more than one at a time. Good group of kids, definitely true techno heads. Drank, chilled and prepped for our foray in techno wonderland.

Friday

So we started the weekend out at Clayton's, nice chillin time with the homies before diving into the madness that is DEMF. And good time for camera practice. Clayton had a mac daddy sweet rooftop patio, next year we throw our own preparty in Detroit rooftop style. Not much doing, decided against the pre-parties this year, I had a feeling it was going to be a smart call from all the electricity in the air. Drunken shananigins ensued, much beer was consumed. Ran over to Josh Dhalbacks new place, good kids, killer DJs too. 4 hours sleep later, it's time to rock.
